Devil's Trial

When an employee of the civil registry office sets the whole building on fire with no apparent reason, a young exorcist arrives in town to determine if the devil is at work.

A game made for SCREAM SECRETS 2024!

This is kind of a prequel to my game Echoing Sky, it has the same young exorcist protagonist tackling another case of demonic possession. I really enjoy messing around with this universe, I'd like to make more episodic stories like this in the future.

This time the game was planned to be actually doable in one week but of course real life got in the way and I had just a few days to finish the jam version! 

Despite everything, I've managed to create all the assets (this is also the first time I try my hand at drawing characters!) and write a first complete draft of the story. Unfortunately the english is still in very bad shape and I didn't have time to revise all the text, so I came to a conclusion: for this initial version I've decided to cut the second half of the game in order to polish a bit the initial half. 

I hope you still enjoy the atmosphere and the characters and if you have feedback please leave them in the comments so that I can implement them when I get back on the game after the jam!
